The human being is not an empty vessel waiting to be filled. Nor is s/he a broken one waiting to be mended, a problem waiting to be solved. S/He is a mystery waiting to be enjoyed. A song waiting to be sung.

Axis Mundi Yoga

I lead seated meditations and active meditations. I got trained as a trauma informed instructor. Meditation is a  powerful tool but it can potentially may cause an overwhelming experience if meditator is not equipped to process. In this aspect I support my students considering their needs.

My classes include meditation, yoga asana practice and a short satsang relating to daily life.

You will be practicing yoga series which are trauma informed and planned to support developmental kinesiology too. I offer 4 class packs or private lessons.

trauma Sensitive yoga

Since 2008 I was practicing and reading on Trauma Sensitive Yoga. I have a blog in Turkish which I translate articles on trauma studies. The more I study psychological trauma, the more I become convinced all classes I deliver should be trauma informed. Right now I am trauma informed instructor, and I hope I ll become a TCTSY instructor soon.

I am an E- RYT 200 & YACEP and Trauma Informed yoga instructor. I had several yoga teachers trainings and workshops in Turkey. The one which affects me most was Advayta Yoga Teachers Training which focused on contemporary hatha yoga method, rooted in western scientific understanding of the nervous system, yoga anatomy, and traditional practices such as Vinyasa, Bandhas, and Meditation.

Beside my private and group classes, I worked as second teacher at YA 200 HR Teachers Trainings with Ela Erdin Yoga  between 2013 - 2016. Since 2016 I led my own trainings and workshops.

My teaching approach in yoga is a combination variety of disciplines:

As a theatre professional my education was already included mindfull physical trainings, anatomy, mythology and philosophy.

As a consecutive translator I had a change to work with experts on psychiatry, physiotherapy, and neuroscience.

I attend Family Constellation Therapist Training for 2 years, unfortunately I had to drop in my senior year due to relocation in USA.

I had the privilege to attend workshops lectured by Bessel van der Kolk The Body Keeps Score: Brain, Mind and Body in the Healing of Trauma (10.5 HR) & Introduction to Trauma Sensitive Yoga (28.5 HR) lectured by E-RYT David Emerson & E-RYT, LMHC Jennifer Turner and Trauma for Performing Artists lectured by Peter Levine and Betsy Polatin. I have ongoing trainings related with trauma and body.

All these experiences guide me to restructure my own way of teaching yoga.
